Which laundry detergent is gentle to skin?

Koala Eco is a family-owned business that’s been making natural, plant-derived products for a clean home, body and mind since 2017. Our key ingredients are 100% pure essential oils from Australian native botanicals: in other words, nature’s own powerful ingredients.

Our core purpose is making products that won’t harm people, pets or the planet, and encouraging people to get out into and connect with nature for their own mental and physical wellbeing. It’s also personal: the mother of company co-founder Jess and her twin Dee (who’s also involved in the business) cannot use anything other than Koala Eco products. As a sufferer of contact dermatitis, anything else causes her skin to break out in an unpleasant rash.

So we know, anecdotally, and scientifically from our rigorous lab tests, that our products, when used as directed, are safe for people with sensitive skin or respiratory issues. We’re fiercely protective of our certifications and credentials, which we’ve worked hard to obtain: Made Safe, Australian Certified Toxic-Free, Australian Allergy Certified, Vegan Australia Certified, and Australian-Made and Owned, and Made in USA with Australian Essential Oils. Our products don't contain any dyes, masking agents, synthetic perfumes, chlorine, bleach, sodium laurel sulfates or phosphates. They are also cruelty-free: nothing we make is or ever will be tested on animals.

We make three laundry liquids, made with Australian essential oils: one with Lemon Scented Eucalyptus and Rosemary, one with Mandarin and Peppermint, and one with Rosalina. Aside from delivering a truly deep-cleansing wash, these liquids will make your laundry smell fantastic, naturally. And they will not harm your skin.

We have also formulated an unscented Laundry Stain Spray and also an Oxygenated Bleach: both support your laundry needs without using harmful ingredients.
