Do natural laundry detergents work?

Do natural laundry detergents work?

Koala Eco is an independent family-owned business that makes natural, plant-derived products for a clean home, body and mind.

We use nature’s cleaning superpower: the essential oils from botanicals like Eucalyptus, Lemon Myrtle, Peppermint and Rosemary. Essential oils like these—carefully sourced from ethical and sustainable growers—are the key ingredients in our cleaners. Their ability to combat dirt, grime, and germs is enhanced by the other planet-friendly ingredients we use, such as plant-derived surfactants, making our formulas (many of which are concentrate) ready for action, straight from their recycled and recyclable bottles.

We make two laundry liquids: one with Lemon Scented Eucalyptus and Rosemary, one with Mandarin and Peppermint. Aside from delivering a truly deep-cleansing wash, these liquids will make your laundry smell fantastic, naturally. We’re often asked if natural products really work: how can our laundry washes be as powerful as those containing bleach, preservatives and chemical enzymes?

We work with our trusted in-house chemist who has over 45 years’ experience, meaning robust scientific research goes into every formula we produce. Not only that, we make sure our products are independently lab-tested. Removing germs and bacteria, they have up to 15 times the active ingredients of other products and eco enzymes. Every product line we make is rigorously tested to ensure it contains absolutely the right balance, will perform correctly, and also will safely release the entirely natural fragrance of the oils from which it’s made.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of our customers say:

Far better than any supermarket brand. Our laundry smells amazing!

Will buy again, great on dirty and smelly clothes

This product leaves clothes looking and smelling fresh. I can’t believe how little it takes to do a fantastic job.
